Privacy notice
How we collect, use and protect your information.
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This notice explains how Yot Kom Missions International (“YKMI”, “we”) handles personal information collected through yotkommissions.org. We are based in Gulu, Uganda, and we handle personal data in line with Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.
What we collect
- Forms. When you use our contact, volunteer or partner forms we collect what you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, organization and message.
- Gifts. When you give online we record your name, email, the amount, currency, payment method and the payment reference. Card and mobile money details are entered on the payment provider’s own secure page (Flutterwave, Swychr, PayPal or Stripe). We never see or store them.
- Technical data. To protect our forms from spam and abuse we keep a short-lived, one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and the time of your request. Our web host keeps standard server logs.
How we use it
- To reply to your message, enquiry or application.
- To process and acknowledge gifts and keep financial records.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam.
We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this website.
Cookies
The public website does not set tracking cookies. The website may store a small offline copy of pages on your device so it works with a weak connection. Our admin area uses a strictly necessary session cookie for signed-in staff only.
Who we share it with
Only with the payment provider you choose when giving, and with our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its records on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and gift records for as long as required for financial and legal purposes.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Contact us at info@yotkommissions.org or call +256 787 226542.
